The Eastern Shore

This longitudinal cultural documentary series began as a single short film, "Our Island Home," profiling three former denizens of a long-vanished settlement off the coast of Virginia--and has evolved into an extraordinary sixteen-year cinematic journey. With over five hours of content produced in partnership with the Barrier Islands Center, the films give voice to many vibrant local characters as they weave together the strands of history, art and culture that form the unique tapestry of life on this, the largest stretch of pristine coastline on the Eastern seaboard of the US.
